Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has branded decisions made by Micheal Oliver as 'unacceptable'
Wenger was frustrated that referee Michael Oliver awarded a penalty against Nacho Monreal for his challenge on Raheem Sterling and then the officials failed to spot that David Silva was marginally offside in the build-up to City third goal.
Guardiola insisted his side were deserved victors regardless of the officiating.
'We won in the best way and we deserved by far. The chances we created and the few chances we conceded,' said on Sky Sports.
'They tell me it was offside and I don’t like to win in that way, so it’s like this, but sometimes Arsenal win in Burnley 0-1 with a hand, so sometimes it is like this. The way we like to play, we did it really well.'
Oliver pointed to the spot at 1-0 following Nacho Monreal's challenge on Raheem Sterling
In what was another impressive performance from City they continued their unbeaten run in the Premier League. Despite his side's strong form, Guardiola played down suggestions that they are reaching the levels of his former Barcelona and Bayern Munich teams.
'We cannot deny the last two months. We won all the games, in the Carabao Cup, in the Champions League, in the Premier. To do it over two months is so difficult, so I am so, so happy,' he added.
'In the recent past, Barcelona and Bayern Munich, they win titles and we didn’t win once. Until we are able to lift something we cannot talk about that. The way that we play, we cannot deny that in two months, we have played good.'
