Slaven Bilic's sacking could spark a battle between BT Sport and Sky Sports to have him as a pundit, though the Croatian is planning to take time off.
Bilic was undoubtedly the star of the studio from Euro 2016 when he worked for ITV.
The 49-year-old was caught on camera climbing on to a table to celebrate a Dimitri Payet goal for France.

Yet the former West Ham manager wants to prioritise spending time with family and those close to him say he is set to keep a low profile for ‘a few months’.
David Moyes was confirmed as Bilic’s successor on Tuesday and took training at Rush Green on the afternoon, staging a meet and greet with the squad.
West Ham have already told Bilic he will be welcome at the London Stadium in the future.
It is unlikely he will take up the offer for Moyes’ first home fixture against Leicester on November 24.
