Former Manchester United defender Patrice Evra hinted that he was ready to make a swift return to the game on Wednesday night.

The 36-year-old, who was sacked by Marseille after kicking a fan in the head during an altercation before an Europa League tie, shared a video of him keeping fit with the help of a running machine.

He also wrote on Instagram: 'Enjoying my evening just chilling, can’t wait for my next move. I️ just feel blessed. I️ love this game.'

Evra, famed for his eccentric social media posts and personality, also recently shared a video of his extreme workout in Dubai, where he is recuperating after being sacked by Marseille for kicking a fan in the head.


In the video, the car is shown travelling at slow speed with a man sat on the roof - it is only when it pans around the front that it is revealed that Evra is pulling the vehicle by himself.

The ex-France international wrote on Instagram: 'I just feel blessed, happy Monday, don’t be lazy.

UEFA have banned the defender from European competitions until the end of June 2018, and fined him nearly £9,000.

Evra's career is not yet completely over however, as during this seven-month ban he can still play in domestic leagues.
