MailOnline Fantasy Football team of the week: Tottenham duo Son Heung-min and Harry Kane bag big points after thrashing of Stoke City

Supporters that have stuck with Tottenham Hotspur's attacking crop in their team were rewarded this week as a trio of Spurs stars featured heavily in their 5-1 win over Stoke City.

The north London side bounced back from four winless games to triumph at Wembley, with Son Heung-min, Harry Kane and Christian Eriksen all heavily involved in the rout of Mark Hughes' side.

Elsewhere Huddersfield Town players were also among the big scorers as Sportsmail has put together a look at the fantasy football team of the weekend across the Premier League.

GK: Adrian - West Ham United

1 Game, 2 Saves, 1 Clean Sheet = 8 Points

You would have been a very brave person to have Adrian in you team - but that's no slight on the West Ham United goalkeeper.

It was just seemingly a bad time to include him, with a struggling West Ham team welcoming Chelsea to the London Stadium and uncertainty over whether he would retain his place over Joe Hart.

A shock clean sheet and a Hammers win later though rewarded those who backed the stopper.

DF: Zanka - Huddersfield Town

1 Game, 1 Assist, 1 Clean Sheet = 10 Points

Before the Brighton game the Huddersfield defence had been under pressure having conceded 13 goals in their previous four matches.

But off the back of four defeats the Terriers hit form again, with Zanka bagging a clean sheet as well as an assist in the 2-0 win against the south coast outfit.

DF: Cristopher Schindler - Huddersfield Town

1 Game, 1 Assist, 1 Clean Sheet = 10 Points

It wasn't just Zanka helping at both ends of the pitch for the Terriers either.

Zanka's fellow defender Christopher Schindler also played a key role in assisting one of Steve Mounie's two first half goals as the two Huddersfield defenders ended matchweek 16 as the highest point scoring defenders.

Nicolas Otamendi grabbed Manchester City's winning goal in the Manchester derby

DF: Nicolas Otamendi - Manchester City

1 Game, 1 Goal, 1 Goal Conceded = 8 Points

Not even failing to keep a clean sheet could ruin Nicolas Otamendi's weekend, even if the defender came close to conceding a late penalty in the Manchester derby.

Instead the Manchester City defender scored the winner which helps bags him eight points, his team three points and Pep Guardiola's outfit an 11-point lead in the Premier League title race.

MF: Son Heung-Min - Tottenham Hotspur

1 Game, 1 Goal, 2 Assists = 14 Points

Tottenham Hotspur's attackers ripped apart Stoke City in the second half of their 5-1 win, but it was Son Heung-min who took the plaudits in a man of the match display.

With two assists and a goal he wasn't just Tottenham's best player but he was also the highest points scorer across the weekend.

MF: Christian Eriksen - Tottenham Hotspur

1 Game, 1 Goal = 8 Points

Spurs supporters have yet to see the best of Christian Eriksen this term but he was close to his old self at Wembley, latching onto a Son pass to score Spurs' fifth against Stoke.

The Dane's form dipped alarmingly following his hat-trick against the Republic of Ireland in a World Cup play-off in November but this could be the start of a resurgence for the 25-year-old.

MF: Mohamed Salah - Liverpool

1 Game, 1 Goal = 8 Points

There wasn't much for Liverpool fans to cheer about after throwing away victory in the Merseyside derby with Everton.

But Reds supporters can take solace that in Mohamed Salah they have one of the buys of the season, with the Premier League's top scorer taking his tally to 13 goals after finding the net again at Anfield.

MF: Riyad Mahrez - Leicester City

1 Game, 1 Goal = 8 Points

It's taken a while for Riyad Mahrez to get going this season but it's no coincidence that the Foxes have started clicking just as he starts to find his best form.

The winger failed to score in his first seven matches for Claude Puel's side but has since found the net five times in 10 games, including the opening goal in the 3-2 win at Newcastle United.

FWD: Harry Kane - Tottenham Hotspur

1 Game, 2 Goals = 12 Points

It was a tale of two halves for Harry Kane against Stoke. The England striker was wasteful in the first period at Wembley - even missing a sitter when put though clean on goal.

But a second half brace takes him to five goals in as many games and brings him one short of Salah's 13 Premier League strikes.

FWD: Steve Mounie - Huddersfield Town

1 Game, 2 Goals = 12 Points

Steve Mounie hadn't scored since his double on the opening day of the season, but ended his run of nine games without a goal by grabbing another brace against Brighton.

Terriers fans will now hope he doesn't go missing again for another nine fixtures as they look for their side to pull away from a relegation battle.

FWD: Jermain Defoe - Bournemouth

1 Game, 2 Goals = 12 Points

There's life in the old dog yet. Defoe has struggled for form and goals since arriving at Bournemouth in the summer on a free transfer from Sunderland.

But the 35-year-old rolled back the years with a brace in the draw at Crystal Palace that takes his season total to three goals. But is this a final flourish from the veteran or the start of a resurgence?
