Mauricio Pochettino has no plans to recall Cameron Carter-Vickers from loan as Tottenham boss seeks 'best solution' to lack of cover in defence
- Toby Alderweireld is injured until February and Davinson Sanchez is banned
- Cameron Carter-Vickers is on loan at promotion-chasing Sheffield United
- Mauricio Pochettino is not planning to recall 19-year-old to offer cover

Mauricio Pochettino insists he has no immediate plans to recall centre-half Cameron Carter-Vickers from his loan spell at Sheffield United next month as cover.
Pochettino is short of options in central defence with Toby Alderweireld out until February and Davinson Sanchez serving a three-match ban for a red card.
Carter-Vickers, 19, is on loan at Bramall Lane where he has started 13 games in the Championship this season and Spurs will only seek a recall if they feel he is not getting the right experience with Chris Wilder's promotion-chasing team.

Pochettino said: 'We need to talk in the next few days but if all is going well with Toby he will be ready at the beginning of February.
'With Davinson suspended maybe the squad looks like we need someone but we have different players who can play there.
'The decision with Cameron is more about his development than if we need or don't need more centre-backs in the squad.
'We are trying to provide the player with the best solution.'
Pochettino has Juan Foyth, a 19-year-old centre-half signed last summer from Estudiantes in Argentina, in his Tottenham squad.
Foyth has made only three appearances since his £8million transfer to Spurs.
Pochettino said he has the defender's development in mind when making the decision
