Bayern Munich insist they do not want Swansea flop Renato Sanches back early from Premier League loan spell

  • Swansea looked to have signed a gem when Renato Sanches arrived on loan
  • The Bayern Munich youngster has failed to register a goal or assist in 11 games
  • There has been talk of loan ending early but Bayern do not want to take him back
  • Boss Jupp Heynckes says: 'I'm not worried about getting him back to Bayern'Ā

Bayern Munich have no interest in taking Renato Sanches back from his disastrous loan spell at Swansea early, according to coach Jupp Heynckes.

The out-of-favour youngster, who promised much when he arrived at the Liberty Stadium in the summer, has endured a torrid time in south Wales.

He has recently been dropped from the starting XI and, amid rumours that Swansea want to offload him, Heynckes says Bayern do not want him back yet.

'I assume that Hasan Salihamidzic [Sporting Director] talked to him on the phone,' he is quoted as saying to Bild. 'I'm surprised. I'm not worried about getting him back to Bayern.Ā

'You also have to see if that makes sense. In midfield, we have no need.'

Swansea's signing of Sanches on loan from Bayern was seen as one of the scalps of the summer, but the 20-year-old has so far failed to score in 11 appearances.

He is also yet to provide an assist in 512 minutes of Premier League football, and Portuguese publication MaisFutebol previously reported that Swansea and Bayern have agreed to end the deal early, 'in the interest of all parties.'

Sanches would then not be able to head out on loan again, given his appearances for both Bayern and Swansea this season.

Sanches cost Bayern Ā£30.8million when he was signed from Benfica, before it was decided he should head out on loan for more first-team opportunities.Ā
