Arsenal will monitor Mainz defender Abdou Diallo ahead of a potential summer move.

The 21-year-old joined the Bundesliga side from Monaco last summer for £4million and has impressed scouts including Sven Mislintat at Arsenal.

Diallo has captained France at U21 level and can play as centre-back, left-back or defensive midfielder. He has made 17 appearances for Mainz this season and scored three goals.
