Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger was seen in deep discussion with Alexis Sanchez during training on Saturday ahead of the Premier League clash with West Brom.

Wenger was pictured having an animated conversation with the Chilean star, whose popularity has plummeted in recent months, prior to the session at Arsenal's London Colney training base.

This comes after several of Sanchez's Arsenal team-mates didn't celebrate with him after scoring his first goal of the night in the club's 3-2 victory over Crystal Palace on Thursday at Selhurst Park.

Sportsmail reported on Friday night that some of the 29-year-old's team-mates and members of the backroom staff have had enough of him.

There are some players who want him out in January, others who wish he had been sold last summer.

However, the Arsenal camp and the former Barcelona man in particular, appeared in very high spirits during the session as he was pictured sharing jokes with Danny Welbeck and Shkodran Mustafi.

Wenger will be hoping that a rift doesn't continue to grow between Sanchez and his Arsenal team-mates as they look to keep up their push for a top-four place come the end of the season.

The Gunners currently sit sixth in the Premier League, one point adrift of fourth-placed Liverpool.

Arsenal go into the clash against West Brom on the back of their win over Roy Hodgson's men, thanks to a double from Sanchez and a first-half Mustafi strike.

Victory at Selhurst Park was just Arsenal's third away win of the season, the other two coming against Everton and Burnley.
