Premier League fans' verdict: Eden Hazard continues to delight Chelsea supporters as Alexandre Lacazette gives Arsenal plenty to talk about

Another fascinating weekend of action saw Chelsea put four goals past Brighton as Eden Hazard shone.

Meanwhile, Arsenal showed that their is life after Alexis Sanchez as Alexandre Lacazette produced a fine display against Crystal Palace.  

Here, Sportsmail gets the fans' verdicts following the latest weekend of action... 

Eden Hazard produced an impressive performance as Chelsea demolished Brighton

BRIGHTON

We were all at sea for 20 minutes and got mugged. But then we found our feet and our hearts and came back superbly, only to be cheated by a clown with a whistle. Twice.

We still kept creating chances but our finishing was poor and when their third went in our spirit broke. On any other day, Mat Ryan’s saves would have earned him man of the match but Ezequiel Schelotto epitomized everything we need to stay up.

CHELSEA

Chelsea put all their issues with scoring goals to one side as Antonio Conte had little choice but to revert back to the 3-4-3 formation that had served us so well last year.

The team move that led to Willian’s goal was a contender for goal of the season. Willy Caballero, in for the injured Courtois, was forced into two excellent saves from close range to keep Brighton at bay. The only downside was a head injury to Andreas Christensen.

ARSENAL

Let’s hope we don’t have too many more of these between now and the end of the season.

A real off day for Palace — or more to the point a mad 20 odd minutes — against a team who clearly had a point to prove. That is two defeats in 13 games and both have been against a Gunners side who have decided to turn up!

We have been pushing our luck with a threadbare squad which needs reinforcements this month which Roy will know only too well.

This was an excellent performance from our team that deserved at least a point.

We gave them a really tough last half-hour. They were hanging on, wasting time, even saw their manager pushing injured players on to get the game held up.

This was, despite the result, a performance that showed just what a decent team we are becoming in the Premier League.

MANCHESTER UNITED

Anthony Martial once again proved himself as a matchwinner.

With Alexis Sanchez on his way to United, it was the perfect way for Martial to make sure he stays in the team and show Jose Mourinho he can trust him.

EVERTON  

I’m slowly losing interest in Everton each week.

Despite Everton starting with a £100million front line, West Brom played better football and produced more attempts on goal.

Allardyce has shown how laughable his appointment is. Zero attacking intent, sitting just in front of our own penalty area for 90 minutes, no link-up play. I feel sorry for both Tosun and Walcott, coming into this team with no idea what it’s doing. We’re the laughing stock of the Premier League and I don’t see times changing soon.

WEST BROM 

All in all a solid away point for the Baggies. If Pogba had picked a similar pass to the one Krychowiak played to set up Rodriguez, he would have a statue built outside Old Trafford! Disappointing to concede but the change since the dark days of Pulis is unreal. 

We look confident going forward and assured at the back. Southampton at home next is a real six-pointer. Also, I wish a speedy recovery to James McCarthy, and I hope it doesn’t affect Salomon Rondon too much.

LEICESTER 

Warwick Kay (LCFC World)

Great to see Leicester riding high in seventh after seeing off a resilient Watford.

Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez are the difference between a draw and a win. It is an absolute must that we keep hold of these two this month.

Harry Maguire was rock solid at the back yet again.

WATFORD

Marco Silva sealed his own fate with that performance.

We didn’t expect to win at Leicester, but we should at least be putting up a fight.

Silva showed great potential early this season but things have never been the same since he flirted with Everton.

Our head coach had clearly lost the respect of the playters and in the end, sadly, it was clear that he had to go.

STOKE

Paul Lambert’s impact was tangible. The ragged Stoke side which had been dragging it’s sorry-looking backsides around the pitch for so long this season was gone, and replaced by a pumped-up side looking determined and organised.

No Stoke player had a bad game but Kurt Zouma, Joe Allen, Erik Pieters and new signing Moritz Bauer were genuinely outstanding. A word too for the fans who got the bet365 absolutely rocking at times.

This is one big step for Stoke City and if they are to save themselves this season then the standard they have to reach has been established with this victory.

HUDDERSFIELD 

Harry Greenwood (Better Than Klopp)

Things are looking bleak for Town. Two away wins all season and no wins in six is simply not good enough.

There is a lack of quality throughout the team, and although Stoke were buoyed by a new manager, the lack of attacking threat is disappointing.

With the attacking players at our disposal, 19 goals scored is not good enough. Although Wagner is happy with the squad, there are obvious frailties that need addressing in the window. The upcoming games against Bournemouth and West Brom now become massive.

Moritz Bauer was Stoke's star man as he continues to do well under Paul Lambert

WEST HAM 

Michael Oliver (Read West Ham)

While West Ham’s unbeaten run in the Premier League continued, they’ll come away from the draw against Bournemouth perhaps a little disappointed.

The first half hour was undoubtedly the best football of the David Moyes era and they would’ve been rewarded had it not been for some wayward finishing.

Chicharito came off the bench to grab a viral equaliser but the Hammers will be sweating over the fitness of Manuel Lanzini who injured his hamstring in the second half. As he went off, he took any semblance of a creative spark with him.

If West Ham are to continue their rise up the table, they’re going to need Lanzini pulling the strings, or recruit someone who can ease the load.

BOURNEMOUTH 

Peter Bell (Cherry Chimes)

The Cherries remain slow starters, but it was ridiculous to concede an equaliser only seconds after going ahead.

Still, West Ham had the better chances. Asmir Begovic proved again that he was wasted on the bench at Chelsea. In the end, it was just good to take a point and to see Junior Stanislas and Josh King back in action.

MANCHESTER CITY

Many outsiders were hoping that last week’s defeat by Liverpool was going to be the start of a collapse.

Saturday’s performance suggested it looks like a blip and nothing more. This was a return to the confident, dominant, oppressive City that we have seen all season.

The finishing didn’t quite match the build-up play, but this was routinely comfortable.

David Silva, as ever, dictated our game. Oleksandr Zinchenko was excellent on his first Premier League start and Sergio Aguero showed once again that, despite not being a typical Pep Guardiola player, he guarantees goals.

NEWCASTLE 

Tom Bore (Read Newcastle)

Losing 3-1 to one of the best sides the Premier League has seen is hardly embarrassing.

The major thing to take away from this game is that after a slow start to his Newcastle career, Jacob Murphy is beginning to make a significant impact on Tyneside.

Let’s hope a few new fresh faces have arrived by the time we play our next league game.

SOUTHAMPTON

Looking at Sunday’s performance away from the context of our season, we deserve serious credit for not allowing Tottenham to find their full-flow and working a number of golden chances against an incredibly resilient defence.

The decision to play a midfield trio of Romeu, Lemina and Ward-Prowse worked perfectly, and It’s also incredibly encouraging to have Bertrand and Cedric back to full fitness. The duo are arguably our most important players in the transition from defence to attack.

But ultimately, we’ve still gone 11 Premier League games without a win and find ourselves a point away from safety. There are no excuses anymore; three points simply have to be picked up against Brighton.

TOTTENHAM 

Barnaby Slater

Disappointing. Eriksen and Lloris out with the Flu and it wouldn’t surprise me if a few of the others were suffering a bit too. 

Not to mention Sissoko Who seems to have had some sort of disease that affects his ability to play even average level football for the past 18 months now. 

Southampton deserved at least a point and it would have been daylight robbery had Kane scored with his chance in the last minute. With tough games ahead it’s going to be the time to really see what this side are made of.
