When Manchester United signed Alexis Sanchez, they were getting the package deal.

The Chilean's beloved dogs, Atom and Humber, also made the move up north from London and all three have relocated to the luxurious Lowry Hotel.

On the eve of Sanchez's eagerly-awaited debut against Yeovil Town in the FA Cup, both the player and one of his golden retrievers were visibly excited.

Sanchez shared a video on his Instagram of Humber, the lighter-coloured half of his canine companions, strutting through the corridor of their temporary home in Manchester.

Humber trotted through the hotel to the tune of 'Glory Glory Man United' – an anthem which the forward may hear at Huish Park on Friday night in what he hopes will be his first win for the Red Devils.

Boss Jose Mourinho on Thursday confirmed Sanchez's inclusion in the squad for fourth-round tie and admitted that the Chile star's arrival will force Romelu Lukaku, Juan Mata, Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford to fight for a place in the team.

'This is life in big clubs,' he said. 'It's a very, very important addition for us. Now we have five attacking players of high quality – Mata, Rashford, Lukaku, Martial, Alexis – and it's fantastic for me and for the team. If the players one day are on the bench and don't like it, I'm happy with that.

'In big clubs you have big players, you have competition, you have responsibilities, you have to perform always, you have to try to go to every competition in a serious way.'

United sit 87 league places above Yeovil ahead of the tie.
