Ander Herrera determined to end season with silverware after Spaniard scores in his 150th game for Man United in 4-0 FA Cup win at Yeovil

Ander Herrera celebrated his 150th Manchester United appearance with a goal and is determined to end the season with some additions to his medal collection.

The Spanish midfielder scored in United's 4-0 win at League Two Yeovil Town on Friday night, booking his team's passage into the fifth round of the FA Cup.

With United trailing their neighbours Manchester City by 12 points in the Premier League, the Cup represents their best chance of ending the season with some silverware.

They also remain in the Champions League and play Sevilla in the last-16 next month, though winning that is a far tougher proposition.

But Herrera wants Jose Mourinho's team to continue fighting on all three fronts until the end of the season.

'I played my 150th game for the club and that is not easy to do for the greatest club in the country,' said Herrera.

'We have won the FA Cup two seasons ago and last season we won three trophies, so this club is about titles, and we are not going to give any competition away, we are going to fight for everything.'

United were managed by Louis van Gaal when they beat Crystal Palace to lift the FA Cup for the 12th time in their history in 2016.

Mourinho then claimed the EFL Cup, the FA Community Shield and the UEFA Europa League in his first season in charge during 2016-17.

United's win at Huish Park was also notable for Alexis Sanchez's debut and the Chilean picked up the man of the match accolade for his performance, which improved as the game pressed on.

Herrera added: 'Alexis played very well, but what I like from him is the way he fights when he or the team lose the ball. He is ready to be the first defender of the team, so that is going to be very important for us.

'Of course we know his quality is going to be amazing for us, but the way he fights, the way he defends, I really like.'
