The two managers come face-to-face again this Sunday when the Blues, who are closing in on their first Premier League title in five years, travel to the Emirates.

And Mourinho has stirred things up by claiming the former Monaco chief is not his rival.

“For me he is not my rival - I don’t feel that," Mourinho said.

“He’s the manager of a big club in the same city of where I work and I [where] live.

“It’s a big club with the same objectives we have in the competitions we play.

“And because of that always comes a-bit of rivalry.

“For me it’s no different when I was at Inter with the Milan manger. It’s no different when I was at Real with the Atleico manager or Porto with the Benfica manager. It’s the same.”
