Frenchman Lollichon worked with Cech at former club Rennes and joined Chelsea in 2007 but the Times claim Jose Mourinho will not stand in his way if Arsenal make a move.

Mourinho's long-serving goalkeeping coach Silvino Louro returned to Stamford Bridge last summer as assistant first-team coach but is willing to revert back to his former position if Lollichon departs.

The Gunners were last month linked with an attempt to lure Lollichon to the Emirates Stadium - as part of the Cech deal - and the departure of keeper coach Tony Roberts to Swansea created a vacancy.

£11m signing Cech, who will face his old club on Sunday in the Community Shield, is said to be keen on a reunion with his pal.

Lollichon's switch to north London could be sped up following reports of a falling out with Mourinho.

The Chelsea boss was angered when Lollichon spoke out on the goalkeeping situation at Champions League rivals Paris St-Germain.

"A couple of weeks ago my goalkeeper coach was speaking about the Paris St-Germain goalkeepers and I think he shouldn’t do it," Mourinho said. "So it’s not for me to speak about Paris St-Germain players."
