The England midfielder has been ruled out for the next three months with surgery required on a broken leg.

Wilshere's latest setback comes after lengthy spells out with ankle and xxx injuries.

And Gunners captain Arteta reckons it's a case of all hands on deck to ensure Wilshere is nurtured back into first team contention.

“We know we cannot waste his talent because he has an amazing career ahead of him,” he said.

CROCKED: Arsenal ace Wilshere is out for three months

“We are responsible for putting that into his head every day and to not allow him to fall down because, at some stage, that is the danger; that he does not believe in himself or his body and he needs to trust himself.

"Jack unfortunately has had a lot of difficult moments, but he has shown a lot of character and enthusiasm. He needs to use it to prove he can get back.”

Manager Arsene Wenger is confident Wilshere's latest injury won't prove fatal to his chances of having a career at the top of the game.

“This kind of injury is not career-threatening,” said Wenger.

“It is a bone that did not heal well. It is nothing major.

"This was just an accident. It was not linked with his ankles or with the injuries he had before.”
