Falcao, who scored against Crystal Palace last month, will look to capitalise on Costa's absence for three matches and establish himself in English football.
The 29-year-old has only five goals from 34 appearances for Chelsea and Manchester United combined, as opposed to 155 from 200 games during his time in Portugal, Spain and France.
