Lazio have dismissed rumours that Manchester United have completed a £47m deal for Felipe Anderson.

According to Italian outlet Calcio Mercato, Lazio president Claudio Lotito said: "Felipe Anderson will move to Manchester United next season for €60m [£47m].

But the Serie A giants are adamant these reports are false.

They issued an official statement which read: “In reference to statements attributed to president Claudio Lotito regarding the alleged sale of the player Felipe Anderson, the SS Lazio noted that these are devoid of any foundation.”

Arsene Wenger says he used to wonder 'what if' he’d managed to snap up Luis Suarez.

Arsenal had a bid rejected by Liverpool for Suarez in 2013 and will face the Uruguayan superstar in their Champions League tie against Barcelona tomorrow night.

"I used to think, 'What if I signed Luis Suarez' before, but not now," Wenger said.

"He gives camaraderie to a team. He did it at Liverpool and he did it playing with Edinson Cavani and Diego Forlan for Uruguay, and did it well.

"Suarez is the kind of guy who manages to create that spirit in teams. Apart from the individual talent the three have, they also have a good understanding, cohesion and great solidarity."

HAPPY: Oscar turned down a move to Chelsea

Chelsea ace Oscar has revealed he turned down the chance to move to China in January.

“There was interest in me but I've no desire to leave Europe," he said.

"The idea of moving to China would be such a huge change for me and would go against everything I've achieved so far.

“Chelsea are a fantastic, very big club and I'm still young. I'm only 24 so I've got a lot of football ahead of me.”
