Arsene Wenger could leave Arsenal this summer

And the bookies have slashed the odds on the French boss to leave in the coming summer.

Last night the Gunners were humiliated by Bayern Munich at the Emirates, losing 5-1 in the second leg of their Champions League last 16 tie.

That left them with a 10-2 aggregate defeat, and the nature of the loss has led to fans calling for Wenger to go.

Betfair slashed the odds for Wenger to leave this summer from 4/5 before last night to 4/11 this morning.

And the odds on him staying have moved from 11/10 to 15/8 after last night's game.

Despite the scoreline, Wenger said was pleased with some aspects of his side's performance last night.

But he was unhappy with the referee's decision to award Bayern with a penalty and to send off defender Laurent Koscielny in the same incident.

“We produced a performance with the spirit and pride we wanted,” Wenger said.

“In the second half the ref killed the game. He was very, very powerful for Bayern.

"Lewandowski was offside and it was not a penalty and, on top of that, he gives us a red card that kills us completely."
