Man Utd transfer news: Jose Mourinho wants new signings

Victor Lindelof and Romelu Lukaku are United's two signings so far.

Lindelof arrived last month in a £31m deal, with Lukaku following last week for an intial £75m which could eventually reach a world-record £100m if add-ons are triggered.

But who else does Man Utd chief Mourinho want?

Mourinho's priority is landing a winger and defensive midfielder.

Starsport understand Ivan Perisic is the wide man he wants - but Inter Milan are proving tricky customers.

They don't want to lose the Croatian and are demanding £50m for him.

United don't want to go above £45m, and a compromise doesn't look close yet.

Mourinho also wants a new man on board to anchor his midfield.

Starsport understands Nemanja Matic, Eric Dier and Radja Nainggolan are his targets.

Matic was close to a £40m switch from Chelsea, but a deal has stalled.

Tiemoue Bakayoko will arrive from Monaco to replace the Serb, but he's yet to sign on the dotted line.

Chelsea are also not happy with United for poaching Lukaku from under their noses.

But the Manchester giants are still hopeful of getting a deal over the line and are awaiting a decisive decision one way or another from the Blues before moving on to other targets, Mail Online report.

Starsport have been told Tottenham ace Dier is up for a a move north to play under Mourinho.

However striking a deal with Spurs will prove tricky, with it taking a fee of at least £50m to get Daniel Levy interested in negotiating a sale.

Landing Nainggolan from Roma is also likely to be tough, with the Italian club having already filled their coffers this summer by flogging Mohamed Salah to Liverpool and Antonio Rudiger to Chelsea.

Man Utd transfer news: Ivan Perisic is a top target for Man Utd

The Daily Record claim Mourinho has also asked for a full-back.

Another striker is also on the agenda, with Marcus Rashford, Lukaku and Anthony Martial his only frontline options as it stands.

It's claimed Zlatan Ibrahimovic is a potential option to join in January when he recovers from the knee injury which ended his debut season at Old Trafford early.
