Nemanja Matic has told Chelsea to sort out his future within 48 hours.

Starsport understands Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is keen to land the Serbia international this summer.

Chelsea yesterday signed Monaco star Tiemoue Bakayoko in a £40m deal ahead of the Red Devils, who is an ideal replacement for the midfielder.

And according to The Sun, Matic is desperate for a reunion with Mourinho at United.

They say the 28-year-old has even told Chelsea to sort his future within 48 hours.

Matic has been told he can leave the Blues this summer for £40m following Bakayoko's arrival.

The Sun add that Chelsea would prefer to sell him to Juventus ahead of United and Arsenal, who are both keen on the midfield powerhouse.

Ander Herrera wanted United to sign Alvaro Morata this summer.

The Real Madrid striker was heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford but the two clubs couldn't agree on a fee.

Jose Mourinho instead turned his attention to Romelu Lukaku and spent £75m on the Everton hitman.

And Herrera has opened up on United's failed move for Morata, claiming he wanted the Red Devils to sign the Real star.

"Of course I wanted to have Morata as a team-mate, he was very close because the two clubs negotiated," said Herrera.

"Too bad he is not with us but I wish him well."

Steve Nicol has backed Ivan Perisic to be a hit at United.

The Inter Milan star has been tipped to join the Red Devils in a £50m deal and Nicol says he will work well under Mourinho.

"Good player," Nicol said on ESPN FC when quizzed about Perisic.

"I think he's a good player yeah. He probably wasn't ready when he was young to go to a Man United.

"But at 27, 28 it could be ideal. (The) perfect age."
