That's the view of Red Devils star Juan Mata.

Morata, 24, was set to join United this summer but the clubs couldn't agree on a transfer fee.

Jose Mourinho instead turned this attention to Romelu Lukaku and signed the Everton star for £75m.

However, Mata reckons there's still a small chance that United will sign Morata this summer.

"It looks tough to see Alvaro Morata in a Red Devils shirt with the arrival of Romelu," he told Spanish radio station Cadena Cope.

"We've signed an important player in attack and it's difficult, although you never know.

"Things can happen in the last few days, but I wish Alvaro the best."

Morata was today linked with a shock move to AC Milan.

Reports in Italy suggested the striker is close to joining the Serie A giants and snubbing Chelsea, who are also keen on the Real star.
