The Belgian striker sealed a £75m move from Everton to Old Trafford last week and scored his first goal for the club this morning.

He fired the winner in the 2-1 victory over Real Salt Lake in the friendly earlier today.

It would be a relief for him to get off the mark and show the United faithful what he can do.

And after breaking his duck, he warned opposition defenders there would be plenty more where that came from.

Lukaku said: “I am here to score goals but we play to win and that is my mentality when I get on the pitch.

“We did well and we need to keep improving because now we are playing better opponents and we need to improve.

“This is what the manager wants, to play attractive football.

"Hopefully we will be prepared and ready to do the job.

"I know a lot of the lads, a lot of them are neighbours so I didn’t take time to settle in.

"I have been waiting for this opportunity, now I am here and it is time to work hard."
