Real Madrid are unlikely to land David De Gea this summer

Ivan Perisic doesn't want to go on Inter Milan's pre-season tour in hope of forcing through his Manchester United move.

The Red Devils have been heavily linked with a move for the Croatia international in recent weeks, with Jose Mourinho a huge admirer of Perisic.

Starsport revealed last night that United are confident of signing Perisic in a £47m deal in the next 48 hours.

And according to Sky Sports, the Red Devils are close to landing the winger.

They say Perisic, 28, doesn't want to fly to China today with the Inter squad for their pre-season tour.

The Serie A side jet off for their tour this afternoon.

Inter's stars are due at the training ground this morning ahead of a mid-afternoon fight from Milan.

United, Inter and Juventus have made bids for Real Madrid star Toni Kroos.

Spanish outlet Diario Gol reckon the Germany international has plenty of suitors this summer.

They claim United made a bid for the 27-year-old as part of a swap deal for David De Gea.

However, Zinedine Zidane is desperate to keep hold of Kroos.

The Real boss has directly asked the midfielder not to leave the Bernabeu.

Real are unlikely to land De Gea this summer, according to Madrid-based journalist Kieran Canning.

De Gea, 26, nearly joined the Spanish giants in 2015 but a late fax halted the move.

Real are expected to return for the United stopper but Canning says a deal is improbable after the Red Devils' bid for Alvaro Morata collapsed earlier this month.

He tweeted: "Continued press speculation about De Gea all coming from one side.

"Madrid pretty much closed the book on that after CL [Champions League] final."

Canning added: "Had there been a Morata or James [Rodriguez] deal it could maybe have been revived, but hard to see any Madrid-United deals post Morata breakdown."
