The Belgian striker joined Jose Mourinho's Red Devils revolution from Everton last Monday for £75m.

He joined up with his new team-mates the same day and immediately got a good feeling about what was to come.

Lukaku is one of two United signings this summer and Mourinho has admitted he wants more.

And with pre-season well underway and the window still open, Lukaku has a good feeling about what is around the corner for his new club.

He told MUTV: "From the first day, when we had the meeting with the manager in Los Angeles, you just felt that something special was happening.

"But it’s down to us now; we need to work hard every day and deliver in the pre-season games to be ready for the new season.

"At Manchester United, we play to win and that’s the mentality when I get on the pitch and everything comes with it.

"We’re working really hard to prepare for the season, the competition is there, and everyone is working hard to have a place in the team.

"I’m here to score goals and be the focal point of the team.

"I’ve been waiting for this opportunity, like I said. Now, I am here and it’s time to work hard and, hopefully, deliver."
