Barcelona will offer Liverpool both Rafinha and Denis Suarez in order to land Philippe Coutinho this summer.

The La Liga giants are desperate to land the Brazil ace as they think it could lead to Neymar staying at the club.

Don Balon claim Barca are ready to offer the swap deal to the Reds in order to sign target Coutinho.

The Spanish outlet say Rafinha and Suarez were unable to justify their position in the team last season and new manager Ernesto Valverde is prepared to let them leave the Nou Camp.

As well as the two players, Barca would offer a cash amount to tempt Liverpool into selling the midfielder.

Liverpool could choose to sell Philippe Coutinho in order to sign RB Leipzig star Naby Keita this summer, according to Gabriele Marcotti.

He told ESPN FC: “We’re still talking a tremendous amount of money and I think ultimately from Liverpool’s perspective, if we get into a situation with Neymar, Coutinho whatever, the question is do you sacrifice Coutinho to get Keita?”

Nicol responded: “Are they in a position where they have to do that? Are Liverpool not in a position surely where they can keep Coutinho and sign Keita?”

Marcotti explained: “As I understand it, in terms of money, they are in a position that they could do that.

“But by the same token if a spot opens up at Barcelona and Coutinho decides ‘listen I’d really like to go there’ I think part of the reason they’ve got all these front men now because obviously they’ve added Salah to Firmino and Mane and Sturridge and Solanke and whatever.

“I think part of it is to have a little bit of insurance in case Coutinho does leave.”

John Aldridge has backed Liverpool to sign Virgil van Dijk this summer.

Speaking to the Independent.ie, Aldridge said: “Southampton know Van Dijk is unhappy, Liverpool want him so it seems Van Dijk will move.

“Jurgen Klopp knows what he wants and he wants quality, there's no point in signing peripheral players just for appearances.

“You need to sign players who have that x-factor and Van Dijk has that. He's one of the best centre halves in the Premier League.

“Players are very powerful now. If they want to move they will move and if the likes of Van Dijk want to force their way out, they can.

“Players are so strong now and contracts are not worth the paper they are written on."
