Manchester United have ceased negotiations with Inter Milan for Ivan Perisic.

That is according to the Serie A club's manager Luciano Spalletti, who opposes selling the winger.

He told Italian broadcaster Premium Sport: "There was a contact a few weeks ago, then the negotiation stopped, so for me it is closed.

"I'll strongly oppose his sale."

"Will Hazard stay with us? Yes. He is very happy to stay with us and to play for Chelsea."

NO JUSTICE FOR ARSENAL IN LEMAR CHASE

Arsenal have had a third bid for Thomas Lemar turned down by Monaco.

The offer was worth €50m (£44.7m) but the French side are standing firm in holding out for more money from the Gunners.

L’Equipe say a deal could still be on the cards though for the 21-year-old who is believed to be the top target of Arsene Wenger.

Lemar impressed for Monaco last season as they were crowned Ligue 1 winners and reached the semi-finals of the Champions League.

LIVERPOOL BACKED IN VAN DIJK CHASE

John Aldridge has backed Liverpool to sign Virgil van Dijk this summer.

Speaking to the Independent.ie, Aldridge said: “Southampton know Van Dijk is unhappy, Liverpool want him so it seems Van Dijk will move.

“Jurgen Klopp knows what he wants and he wants quality, there's no point in signing peripheral players just for appearances.

“You need to sign players who have that x-factor and Van Dijk has that. He's one of the best centre halves in the Premier League.

“Players are very powerful now. If they want to move they will move and if the likes of Van Dijk want to force their way out, they can.

“Players are so strong now and contracts are not worth the paper they are written on."
