Liverpool are considering signing Monaco star Thomas Lemar as Philippe Coutinho’s replacement.

That’s according to Le 10 Sport, who suggest Jurgen Klopp could hijack Arsenal’s bid to bring the France international to the Premier League.

Lemar, 21, impressed in midfield last season as Leonardo Jardim’s Monaco managed to wrestle the Ligue 1 crown away from Unai Emery’s Paris St-Germain.

And Liverpool are apparently keen on him as they weigh up options in case Coutinho leaves for Spanish giants Barcelona this summer.

Meanwhile, Newcastle are reportedly keen on Reds hitman Danny Ings.

The Magpies are on the lookout for a new player to lead the line at St. James’ Park.

And The Sun claim Rafa Benitez is interested in taking Ings, 25, off Klopp’s hands.

Frosty relations between the two clubs, caused by Benitez’s pursuit of Sheyi Ojo, may scupper a deal though.

Finally, Roma are said to have been in touch with Liverpool about Mamadou Sakho.

The centre-back, 27, is free to move on to pastures new as the new season draws closer.

And The Sun reckon Roma would like to to take him to Italy to bolster their defence.

Liverpool have slapped a £30m price tag on Sakho, who’s also wanted by Crystal Palace.
