The England international has spent seven years on the Red Devils’ books since joining them from Fulham.

And during his time at Old Trafford he’s helped United win five major trophies, including two Premier League titles and the Europa League.

Smalling’s long-term future is in doubt though following the arrival of Victor Lindelof to partner Eric Bailly at the heart of defence next season.

And reports suggest a cluster of clubs are queueing up to take the 27-year-old off Jose Mourinho’s hands as the new campaign approaches.

According to Transfer Market Web, West Brom are still interested in securing Smalling’s services.

The website claim four more Premier League teams have entered the race to sign him up.

They say the Baggies’ Midlands rivals Leicester and Stoke are keen on Smalling.

Burnley and Crystal Palace, meanwhile, are said to have eyes on him too.

Transfer Market Web note Smalling has previously been linked with Everton and West Ham.

They do not suggest whether the Ronald Koeman and Slaven Bilic are in the market for a centre-back now though.

Transfer Market Web do indicate however that United could sanction a cut-price £7.6m deal for Smalling.
