The Independent’s Miguel Delaney claims boss Jose Mourinho is keen to bring the Ivorian to Old Trafford as PSG look to raise funds in order to complete the signing of Neymar from Barcelona.

Aurier, 24, has enjoyed mixed success during his career at the Parc des Prince.

As shown in the above footage, he is a fierce competitor for any forward, blessed with lightning pace and imposing strength.

His timing in the tackle is also impressive, allowing him to recover on the rare occasion he is beaten by an opposition forward.

But while his form on the pitch is certainly worthy of any Champions League club, problems off the field have sometimes hampered his progress.

He was convicted of assault on a police last year after being stopped outside a nightclub to take a breath test in November.

Prior to that, he was forced to apologise to former coach Laurent Blanc after making offensive comments about him and his team-mates on live-streaming app Periscope.

“He is a good player and perfect for the PL,” said one fan.

“Mourinho will keep him in the straight and narrow. I think this can work.

“He will have Pogba and Bailly there to support him.”
