2.35pm: Chelsea have made a £27m bid for Serge Aurier, according to French outlet Le Ten Sport.

They say the Blues have launched an offer for the right-back with Antonio Conte eyeing defensive reinforcements for next season.

Man Utd have also been linked with Aurier.

2.15pm: Everton are close to wrapping up a £50m deal with Swansea for Iceland international Gylfi Sigurdsson.

At least that’s what Liberty Stadium gaffer Paul Clement revealed yesterday, saying: “I hope the deal is done today.

“Either way, whether it is selling or not, we need a quick resolution to the situation."

1.45pm: Cameron Borthwick-Jackson is set to join Leeds on loan.

The Manchester United man has agreed terms with the Championship side and could complete a switch in time to play against Bolton in the season-opener on Sunday, ESPN report.

1pm: Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho wants one more signing this summer.

"The squad is good and, as I told a few months ago, I was hoping for four players to improve the squad," he said.

“The club did a fantastic job, absolutely fantastic, by getting three of them, which is difficult in the crazy market where we are now.

“To get three out of four, I thank the club for that."

Inter Milan could raid for Liverpool star Sadio Mane this summer

12pm: Jose Mourinho faces a race against time to sign Ivan Perisic.

Manchester United have eight days to agree a deal with Inter Milan for the Croatia international, according to Tuttosport.

After that time Inter will shut up shop and take the winger off the market, it's claimed.

11.30am: Could Neymar's move to PSG be OFF? La Liga bosssess have refused to accept the French club's bid to buy the Barcelona star.

A spokesman for the office of La Liga president Javier Tebas said: "We will not accept the money for the liberation clause, the reason is that we have doubts that this money is in accordance with UEFA Financial Fair Play rules."

11am: Manchester United and Chelsea were among the clubs to register their interest in Neymar last summer.

Spanish football expert Guillem Balague claimed on Twitter: "Neymar asked PSG this summer if last year's offer stood. City, Chelsea, MUFC also showed interest last summer but Neymar wanted only PSG."

10.20am: Thomas Lemar can step up and replace Alexis Sanchez at Arsenal, says former Gunners ace Charlie Nicholas.

"I still anticipate Alexis Sanchez leaving this summer. Of course, I'd like to see him stay long-term but I would rather see it sorted," Nicholas told Sky Sports.

"They could sell £100m worth of players, sign Thomas Lemar and finally get a top-class centre-back and be in a stronger position."

9.40am: Southampton boss Mauricio Pellegrino has confirmed Virgil van Dijk still wants out of the club.

Liverpool are keen on the defender but no deal is close.

Pellegrino said last night: The boy is aside of the team because he don’t want to play for us.”

8.55am: Arsenal have had a bid rejected by Borussia Dortmund for Ousmane Dembele.

Mundo Deportivo claim Real Madrid have joined Barcelona in the chase for the France international.

Either could get the winger, but a switch to Arsenal looks to be off the cards after their interest was knocked back by the German side.

8.15am: Barcelona are going all out for Philippe Coutinho, according to Graham Hunter.

The Spanish football expert is adamant the La Liga giants want Coutinho and only Coutinho.

He told Radio Five Live: "They [Barcelona] desperately want Coutinho. What you've been reading about - first of all a €100m [£89m] bid and now £100m bid for Coutinho.

"These are factual. They want him, I have no idea how sternly both Klopp and the owners at Liverpool in saying no."

7.45am: Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere wants to stay and fight for his career at the Emirates.

The Telegraph say Wilshere believes he can have a future at Arsenal.

But they add Arsene Wenger may not be planning to have him around for much longer, after failing to hand the midfielder and extension to his contract which expires next summer.

7.25am: Chelsea could trigger a raid on rivals Liverpool if they swoop for Inter Milan star Antonio Candreva.

The Blues are keen on a deal for Candreva, and La Gazzetta Dello Sport claim Sadio Mane may be in Inter boss Luciano Spalletti’s sights life he’s forced to replace him.

5.40am: Monaco boss Leonardo Jardim has attempted to play down rumours linking Thomas Lemar with a move to Arsenal.

Lemar has been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal in recent weeks with Arsene Wenger keen to bolster his attacking options.

But Jardim insists his key men are fully focused on the new season, despite constant transfer speculation.

“All the players who were important last season are important to keep for the club,” Jardim said.

“But it has been showed over the years that it's not always possible to keep the players, and you know how our project works."

4am: Kylian Mbappe has reportedly told Monaco that he wants to leave Monaco this summer.

The highly-coveted 18-year-old has been strongly linked with a move to Real Madrid among other clubs this summer but L'Equipe claim Barcelona have jumped ahead of the chasing pack for his signature.

It is said that Barcelona have held talks with Mbappe's representatives over a potential move as they look to find a replacement for Neymar.

11:30pm: Barcelona are planning an audacious bid to sign both Philippe Coutinho and Eden Hazard.

Neymar's immenent move to PSG will give Barcelona £198m to spend on his replacement.

And The Sun claim Barcelona will use the cash from Neymar's transfer to go after Coutinho and Hazard.

9.55pm: Everton boss Ronald Koeman has tonight said he hopes a deal will be completed for Swansea midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson.

Swansea manager Paul Clement also confirmed talks are ongoing - and Sky Sports say Everton have had two bids of more than £40m rejected, and are yet to come back with a third offer.

Swansea value the midfielder at around £50m.

9pm: Manchester United have not been in contact with Inter Milan over the signing of Ivan Perisic in recent days.

Jose Mourinho is keen on the Croatia international and negotiations had been going on since the end of the season.

But Inter have been resolute in their £48m valuation of Perisic - a sum United are reluctant to meet.

Sky Sports claim a deal now looks unlikely with their being no contact between the two sides.

8.15pm: Arsenal may have to break their own transfer record for the second time this summer to sign Thomas Lemar.

Monaco have so far rejected two offers from the Gunners but Arsene Wenger is determined to bring the 21-year-old to the Emirates.

Sky Sports claim talks are ongoing between the two clubs.

Arsenal broke their transfer record earlier this summer when they spent £46.5m on Alexandre Lacazette.

7.15pm: Barcelona have offered Arda Turan, Denis Suarez and Rafinha to Liverpool as they continue their chase for Philippe Coutinho.

That’s according to Spanish daily Sport who say the Catalans have offered Liverpool a significant sum of cash plus a player.

The Reds are demanding top whack to part with their prized asset and Barce are keen to try and drive the figure down.

Turan and Suarez are both peripheral figures at the Nou Camp.

5.45pm: Renato Sanches could be on his way to Liverpool and not Chelsea this summer, says Paul Mariner.

He told ESPN FC: “No, not yet, I don’t think so. I think it would be a bit too much for him.

“I think if he goes to Chelsea he just goes into the rotation. That’s not what he wants.

“He’s a fantastic player this kid, a young player, a sensational player.

“I think that he may end up at Liverpool.”

Could Renato Sanches be on his way to Liverpool this summer?

5pm: Danny Drinkwater would be an excellent signing for Chelsea, according to Paul Mariner.

He told ESPN FC: “I think if they get him it is a fantastic signing. Matic has gone as you say.

“I know Drinkwater is absolutely key to Leicester City though so to prise him away from Leicester, yeah, obviously it would be great for Drinkwater.

“I think this is a fantastic move because you know exactly what you’re going to get, I like him.”

4.20pm: Barcelona have been tipped to move for Arsenal ace Alexis Sanchez.

That’s according to Spanish news outlet Don Balon who reckon the wantaway forward could be targeted by the Catalans.

Neymar is on the cusp of leaving the Nou Camp - and Barca need to source a suitable replacement.

Juventus star Paulo Dybala has been linked with a move.

3.30pm: Manchester United have denied they are interested in signing Paris St-Germain defender Serge Aurier.

The full-back has been linked with a £27m move for the Ivory Coast international.

Several newspapers yesterday claimed a deal had been struck for Aurier to head to Old Trafford.

But Sky Sports say United have no interest in signing the 24-year-old this summer.

2.45pm: Chelsea are hopeful of completing their next summer transfer deal before Sunday's Community Shield clash with Arsenal.

The Telegraph say Antonio Conte wants four more signings, and the Blues are said to be upbeat about getting one done by the weekend.

2.20pm: Manchester City and Manchester United have both spoken with Neymar about a switch to the Premier League this summer, Yahoo Sport claim.

Neymar is heading out of Barcelona for PSG in a staggering £198m deal.

The Manchester giants have been sniffing around but United can't afford him and City won't pay his release clause of €222m.

1.45pm: Liverpool have been handed hope in landing RB Leipzig star Naby Keita.

The Reds were heavily linked with the 22-year-old midfielder this summer but Leipzig held firm.

And Leipzig sporting director Ralf Rangnick has discussed losing Keita, claiming it's unlikely he'll pen a new deal with the German club.

“I am not currently assuming that we will be able to extend his contract,” Rangnick told Sport Bild.

1.15pm: Barcelona want to have Philippe Coutinho signed by Monday, Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo report.

The Catalan giants have sent a delegation to England to try and thrash out an £89m deal.

Their need for the Liverpool star has been heightened by the impending transfer of Neymar to Paris St-Germain for £198m.

12.45pm: Virgil van Dijk has reiterated his desire to join Liverpool.

The Liverpool Echo say Van Dijk held crunch talks with Saints boss Mauricio Pellegrino this week over his future.

And he made it clear that a switch north is still his top priority this summer.

12pm: Exeter boss Paul Tisdale is hoping to receive a large settlement from Chelsea for Ethan Ampadu.

The supremely talented youngster left the Grecians for the Premier League champions after his youth contract at St James Park expired.

"He chose Chelsea so then you've got a situation where we either agree on a fee with Chelsea, which is an ongoing process, but now they've got him they're probably not going to offer the sort of figures we want," Tisdale said.

11.15am: Chelsea are likely to make a fresh bid for Juventus star Alex Sandro.

At least that’s the view of Italian journalist Luca Marchetti, who opened up on the summer transfer window during an interview with Tutto Mercato Web Radio.

10.30am: Sergi Roberto is open to joining Man Utd from Barcelona this summer.

Diario Gol report the Barca ace is a big admirer of Red Devils boss Mourinho, who has been in contact with Roberto.

10am: Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez has been told he will not be on the way to Manchester City or Chelsea this summer.

The Gunners don't want to lose the Chile superstar to a domestic rival.

And The Times say he's been told a move to City or the Blues is off the table.

9.30am: Barcelona have given Neymar permission to miss training as a world-record transfer to Paris St-Germain draws closer.

The Brazil forward has been heavily linked with a €222m (£198m) move to the Ligue 1 club this summer.

And Barcelona confirmed on Wednesday the 25-year-old had been allowed to miss training.

9am: Italian outlet Calciomercato claim Anthony Martial is up for a move to Inter Milan as part of any deal which takes Ivan Perisic to Old Trafford.

Inter have been keen on getting Martial included in any deal but United aren't interested.

But if the Premier League giants change their mind, their French star looks ready to play ball.

8.30am: Manchester United have told Gareth Bale he’ll have to ask to leave Real Madrid if he wants to complete an Old Trafford switch.

NBC Sports reporter Pilib De Brun wrote on Twitter: "Matic told Chelsea he'd refuse to play & go public if he wasn't allowed to leave.

"Utd telling Bale to ask to leave & they'll move for him."

8am: Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has set his sights on Monaco star Kylian Mbappe.

At least that’s what transfer rumour specialists Don Balon have claimed amid speculation the Blues may lose Eden Hazard to Barcelona.

Hazard has been linked with Real Madrid, but with Neymar looking set to leave Barca for PSG, the Nou Camp club are on the lookout for potential replacements.

10.40pm: Alvaro Morata didn't want to join Tottenham and fight for his place with Harry Kane.

Pochettino said: “Morata talked about myself in the media. He said: ‘Mauricio called me’. That was from the beginning, two years ago or more.

“He said to me: ‘Why do you want me if you have Harry Kane?’

“You know, if you go to try to sign a striker, they will say: ‘Eh gaffer, you want me for what? To be on the bench?'

“Because it’s Harry Kane, I can’t compete with Harry Kane’ or Hugo Lloris or different players.”

10.10pm: Dharmesh Sheth has given an update on Thomas Lemar's proposed move to Arsenal.

“Now it still could be pretty busy at Arsenal with regard to big name arrivals at the Emirates,” he said on Sky Sports.

“We’ve talked about so many players who could potentially be leaving Arsenal but the name Thomas Lemar will not go away.

“Arsenal remain interested in the Monaco winger despite Monaco’s insistence the player is not for sale.

“Arsenal have had two bids rejected already, the latest being £40m.”

9.25pm: Manchester United are confident they will secure new deals for Spanish duo Ander Herrera and Juan Mata this season.

Herrera and Mata will both be out of contract next June but United do have the option to extend their terms by a further year.

ESPN claim that sources close to United have told them that Jose Mourinho wants to negotiate longer terms with both midfield stars.

And the Red Devils are confident Herrera and Mata will put pen to paper on hefty new contracts soon.

8pm: Dharmesh Sheth has given an update on Philippe Coutinho possibly leaving Liverpool for Barcelona.

He said on Sky Sports: “As Neymar looks likely to leave Barcelona the Spanish club are finding it increasingly hard to get a replacement.

“They were confident Liverpool’s Philippe Coutinho would come to the Nou Camp but Liverpool are having none of it.

“Sources at Anfield have reiterated the club’s stance once again today, Coutinho is going nowhere and he is not for sale.

“Coutinho has started tonight’s game against Bayern Munich.”

7pm: Liverpool linked star Rafinha wants to leave Barcelona - and Ernesto Valverde is willing to sell him.

That's according to Spanish news outlet Don Balon who say the versatile star is desperate for regular first-team action.

The 24-year-old is primarily a midfielder, but was routinely deployed at right-back last term.

And with the arrival of Nelson Semedo at the club he could find his opportunities severely limited.

Don Balon say Rafinha isn't in Valverde's plans - and the former Athletic Bilbao boss is ready to let him leave.

Another Spanish publication, Mundo Deportivo, suggested yesterday that Liverpool are willing to pay £36m to secure his signature.

5.55pm: Sevilla have signed Jesus Navas from Manchester City.

The La Liga side unveiled the Spaniard with a bizarre video on their Twitter feed.

Navas has signed a four-year deal at Sevilla.

5pm: Denis Irwin was surprised Chelsea sold Nemanja Matic to Manchester United.

He told talkSPORT: “I was a little bit surprised by the fact Chelsea are selling to their rivals who will be challenging for the Premier League next year.

“But Matic has done a fantastic job for Chelsea over the last few years and I suppose it was a bit of a thank you [to let him join United].

“Manchester United have got a tremendous player, a tremendous holding player, and they’ve needed somebody of that ilk.

“I think it’s a very good signing.”

4.25pm: Chelsea have had a £54m bid for Alex Sandro rejected by Juventus, reports in Italy claim.

Antonio Conte is determined to bolster his ranks further this summer despite already spending over £130m.

Brazil star Sandro has been consistently linked with a move to Stamford Bridge over recent months but Chelsea have struggled to reach a breakthrough in negotiations.

Juve are thought to be demanding upwards of £70m for the versatile 26-year-old defender.

Italian outlet Transfermarketweb claim Juventus have today turned down a €60m (£54m) offer from Conte and co, contrary to recent reports that a €68m bid had been tabled.

3.45pm: Arsenal legend Perry Groves thinks the Gunners will sign Thomas Lemar this summer.

He told bwin: “I think the Lemar deal will get done, it's coming down to how much.

“I’d like to think we're in the position that if they want £45m, then we go and pay it and send the right message to the player that we want you.

“As mentioned, I still think we're two or three players away from winning the title.”

3.10pm: Inter Milan manager Luciano Spalletti thinks Jose Mourinho could sacrifice Anthony Martial in a bid to land Ivan Perisic.

That is according to Italian paper La Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the Serie A giants are refusing to budge from their £49m (€55m) asking price for the Croatia international winger.

The only other deal that could tempt San Siro chiefs into selling Perisic is if Martial heads in the opposite direction on a season-long loan.

Mourinho is desperate to add Perisic, 28, to his squad this summer.

2.45pm: Micky Quinn thinks Liverpool can win the Premier League title even without Virgil van Dijk.

He told talkSPORT: “[Sadio] Mane’s back fit, they’ve signed [Mohamed] Salah, they’re playing lovely football where they left off last season.

“I think they’ll be a title challenger and I think if they get Van Dijk and keep Coutinho, they could even with the league.”

Van Dijk, 26, is keen to move to Anfield and work under Jurgen Klopp.

2.15pm: Thomas Lemar will be heading to Arsenal, according to the bookies.

“After weeks of speculation it looks like Arsenal are finally on the verge of signing Monaco starlet Thomas Lemar,” said Ian Marmion, Director of Trading at BetStars.

“The Gunners are now the clear odds-on favourites at 8/13 to complete a deal for the talented Frenchman, who scored 14 goals and provided 17 assists in 55 appearances for Monaco last season.

“Their nearest market rivals Liverpool are now complete outsiders at 13/2.

“The chance to play Premier League football under the tutelage of Arsene Wenger could prove too good an opportunity to turn down for Lemar and we expect to see him in an Arsenal shirt sooner rather than later.”

1.45pm: Juventus are planning to offer Chelsea target Alex Sandro a new deal.

Antonio Conte is eager to add the left-back to his squad this summer as a challenger to Marcos Alonso.

But the Premier League champions have been frustrated in their attempts to snap him up and recently had a £61m offer knocked back.

Juventus hope to kill off Chelsea’s interest by handing Sandro an improved pay-packet, according to Calciomercato.
