Reports today claimed the Brazil international has told the Reds he wants to join Barcelona.

Coutinho, 25, has been tipped to replace Neymar at the Nou Camp following the winger's world-record £198m switch to Paris St-Germain last week.

The Liverpool star has reportedly downed tools and is keen to force through a move to Barca this month.

And Ladbrokes say the Reds will spend the Coutinho money on Virgil van Dijk and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: "It could be all change on Merseyside in the next few weeks.

"While Coutinho is still a Liverpool player, the latest odds suggest he'll pass The Ox and Van Dijk on his way out of Anfield."

Van Dijk yesterday handed in a transfer request in hope of forcing through a move to Liverpool.

However, Chelsea are also in the hunt for the Southampton star, with Antonio Conte desperate to bolster his squad with Champions League football back at Stamford Bridge next season.

Oxlade-Chamberlain has also been heavily linked with a move to Anfield, with the Arsenal star yet to pen a new contract at the Emirates.

Ladbrokes say Liverpool have leapfrogged Chelsea and the Reds are now 4/5 favourites to land Oxlade-Chamberlain this summer.
