That's the view of Arsenal legend Ian Wright who was speaking after United's 2-1 defeat to Real Madrid in the UEFA Super Cup last night.

With Zlatan Ibrahimovic being released after he picked up a long-term injury, Jose Mourinho was desperate to bring in a proven goalscorer.

And he landed Everton striker Lukaku for £75m to plug the hole left by the big Swede.

The Belgium international scored against Madrid but Wright is so far not convinced by Lukaku's performances.

"Man United had a massive problem last season scoring goals," Wright told Sky Sports.

"Lukaku got his goal in the end but I believe it's going to be a tough one for him this season.

"You watch that game and he's already getting a lot of stick about his touch and the link-up play.

"He's the one who instigated that 'I want to go somewhere where I can match my ambition'.

"He's there now and United are going to need him a lot more than I saw him do today in respect of his link-up play."
