Gareth Bale won't be sold by Real Madrid this summer.

The club's president Florentino Perez says no deal will be done for the Welshman, who is a target for Manchester United.

"I am not contemplating selling him," Perez said.

"He is a player of Real Madrid, he is important for us and he is one of the best players in the world."

Jose Mourinho accepts getting Bale is mission impossible.

"It's over," the United boss said after last night's Super Cup defeat to Real. "It's clear they want Bale to stay and he wants to stay."

Real Madrid WILL get David de Gea in the future.

That's the verdict of pundit Steve McManaman.

"I thought the goalkeeper played really well tonight for Manchester United, I thought de Gea did well," McManaman said on BT Sport after last night's Super Cup.

"I don't know if that was a plus point or a minus point for United, because out of the two goalkeepers, he was the better goalkeeper by far.

"Madrid covet him highly don't they and they want him. They'll end up taking him off Man United, whether it's next year, the year after.

"They will take him in the end, definitely, they will definitely take him.

"In the end if United are not delivering the trophies that de Gea wants, he'll want to move to Real Madrid.

Jose Mourinho appears to have conceded defeat in his bid to get Ivan Perisic.

The United boss wants the Inter Milan winger at Old Trafford.

But getting a deal done has proven tricky.

"That’s football," he told Premium Sport. "If I was playing against Inter tomorrow I’d want to win.

"They [Inter]’re strong, they put up a good defence to keep someone who’s an important player for them. That’s football."
