Manchester United have halted contract talks with David De Gea.

The Red Devils stopper, who nearly joined Real Madrid in 2015, has been linked with a move to the La Liga champions in recent months.

The 26-year-old has two years remaining on his current Old Trafford contract.

And according to The Sun, United are in no rush to tie down their star man with an improved deal.

They say Real have now cooled their interest in De Gea, with Zinedine Zidane keen to have Keylor Navas as his No.1 at the Bernabeu.

United were willing to offer De Gea improved terms on his £200,000-a-week deal but Real’s decision to pull out of the race has changed Jose Mourinho’s outlook on the situation.

United could land Serge Aurier for just £16m this summer.

The Paris St-Germain defender, 24, is being eyed by the Red Devils and Chelsea.

And Italian outlet Transfermarketweb say the Ivory Coast international could be available for just £16m.

They add that Inter Milan are now also keen on Aurier.

Aurier is currently under contract with PSG until June 2019 and is open to leaving the French giants.

Antonio Conte says losing Nemanja Matic will be a big loss to Chelsea.

The Blues sold Matic to United last month for £40m but Conte says they’ll miss the Serbia international, 29.

He told Sky Sports: "Matic knows very well what I think about him.

"The importance for me about this player, who is a really good player, a top player, very important for our team.

"But sometimes you must accept this crazy transfer market.

"And sometimes you must accept different decisions.

"But he is a great loss for us."
