Sanchez has been on Tottenham’s radar for several weeks with the club willing to pay up to £35m for the 21-year-old defender.

Reports in Holland today have claimed that Chelsea are also keen on the Colombia international and a bidding war could be sparked in the final weeks of the transfer window.

It was even claimed over the weekend that Sanchez has downed tools at Ajax as he seeks to push through a move to England.

Despite the mounting speculation surrounding their star, Eredivisie giants Ajax are adamant that he is going nowhere.

Ajax are not looking to sell Tottenham and Chelsea target Davinson Sanchez this summer

An Ajax spokesman told Sky Sports: "Last year Sanchez signed a five-year contract and we don't want to let him go.

"That's what [sporting director] Marc Overmars has told the player and his agents.

"He is a great player who is very important for us. Next to that, we never comment on rumours regarding transfers."

Chelsea and Tottenham are both keen on Ajax ace Davinson Sanchez

Starsport understand Tottenham are looking to land Sanchez as part of a £85m triple swoop this summer.

Spurs are yet to sign a new player in the current transfer window but WILL strengthen their ranks before deadline day.

Chelsea are also determined to add to their squad further with Antonio Conte frustrated at the Premier League champions’ difficult summer.

The Blues have spent over £130m but Conte wants more and Saturday’s 3-2 defeat to Burnley highlighted their current problems.
