Manchester United target Danny Rose is set to hold showdown talks with Tottenham this week following the defender’s explosive interview.

ESPN say Rose and Tottenham will sit down in attempt to work out their differences.

Starsport understands United have shelved their plans to try and lure Rose to Old Trafford after being told by Spurs he is not sale.

But that stance could change based on the outcome of the discussions later this week.

United reportedly sent three top scouts to run the rule over Valencia defender Ezequiel Garay this weekend.

Spanish outlet Super Deporte claim United representatives were in attendance for Valencia’s win over Las Palmas on Friday night.

It is said Tottenham, Benfica and Juventus also had scouts watching the 30-year-old defender.

United were seemingly most keen to see Garay in action and sent top scout Javier Ribalta, chief Spanish scout Carlos Ruiz and another representative to the Mestalla Stadium.

Anthony Martial only sees his future being at United alongside good friend Paul Pogba.

Martial described his France compatriot as ‘probably the best midfield player in the world’ and hopes for plenty of success alongside him at Old Trafford.

The winger, who has been linked with a summer exit, said: “We want to win a lot of trophies together at United, and we also want to win the World Cup with France.

“If he continues to play and improve like he is doing then I think he is also going to win the Ballon d’Or award in the next five years.”
