Ross Barkley is wanted by Tottenham and Chelsea

That’s the opinion of Sky Sports reporter Bryan Swanson who issued an update on the England international.

“He’s told Everton he will not sign a new contract and Ronald Koeman expects the England international to leave the club this summer.

“A club though has yet to meet Everton’s valuation.”

Barkley is currently out with a hamstring injury and isn’t expected to return to action until November.

The 23-year-old has less than 12 months left on his Everton contract with the Toffees keen to cash in on the midfielder.

Barkley netted five times and provided nine assists in the Premier League last season.

But with the likes of Davy Klaassen and Gylfi Sigurdsson arriving at Everton, it seems the England star’s days are numbered on Merseyside.

Both Spurs and Chelsea are keen to bolster their squads before the transfer window shuts.
