Paul Merson says Liverpool will dominate Arsenal this weekend

That’s the view of Gunners hero Paul Merson.

Liverpool face Arsenal at Anfield on Sunday afternoon with both sides looking to catch Manchester United at the top of the Premier League table.

And Merson says the Reds will exploit the Gunners’ weak defence and cruise to victory.

“I’ve got to go for Liverpool here,” Merson told Sky Sports.

“They will suffocate Arsenal's attack and exploit their poor, poor defence.

“If the Gunners continue to play three at the back, it will play into the hands of Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino.

“Yes, Liverpool always concede but, going forward, they will have miles too much for this current Arsenal side.

“3-1 Liverpool.”

Liverpool have picked up four points from their opening two fixtures with a draw at Watford and a narrow victory against Crystal Palace.

Arsenal have also had a hit-and-miss start.

Following their thrilling 4-3 win against Leicester on the opening day, the Gunners were stunned by Stoke last weekend.
