Arsenal transfer news: Kieran Gibbs has been sold to West Brom

The 27-year-old finalised the deal after passing a medical with Albion late last night.

The move ends a 13-year-association with The Gunners after West Brom hijacked Watford’s attempts to land the full-back.

The Hornets pulled out of an attempt to sign Gibbs when the Midlands club came in and matched their offer.

Gibbs, who was in the final year of his contract at The Emirates, was valued at nearer £10m by Arsenal.

The Londoner, who made his full England debut against Hungary in 2010, lost his place last season and hasn’t featured this campaign.

Gibbs made over 200 appearances for the Gunners - and picked up ten England caps.

Gibbs said: "I watched the boys in the first few games of the season and they've got a lot of energy.

"They've made some good signings and I feel this is a good move for me."
