Real Madrid star Gareth Bale has been linked with Manchester United

That’s according to Spanish journalist Juanfe Sanz who reckons the Welshman is unsettled.

He suggested increased competition in the Real ranks and rumours of new arrivals could also have caused Bale’s dip in form.

Marco Asensio and Isco have both been vying for Bale’s starting spot.

Real have also been heavily linked with Kylian Mbappe - although the Monaco sensation looks Paris St-Germain bound.

Reports earlier this week suggested the Red Devils are ready to offer £93m for the former Tottenham star.

Jose Mourinho is desperate to bring the Welshman back to Britain as he looks to strengthen his options out wide.

Bale, in turn, has made it clear to Real Madrid that Old Trafford is the only place he would consider moving to.

However, Real are reluctant to accept the proposal as they will have to scramble to find a replacement.

Bale, 28, has racked up 102 appearances and scored 55 goals for Real since joining the club in 2013.

Despite his prolific record, Bale struggled for form and fitness last season and didn’t start in the Champions League final in Cardiff.
