Juventus have made a shock bid for Hector Bellerin

That’s the sensational claim made by The Guardian journalist David Hytner.

The Gunners were quick to dismiss the offer though as they have no intention of selling Bellerin.

Arsenal need the young Spaniard more than ever after selling Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to Liverpool in a £35m deal.

Hytner tweeted: “Juventus made a €40m enquiry for Hector Bellerin this afternoon.

“Dismissed out of hand by Arsenal. Bit of a punt from Juve. Why so late??!!”

Juventus make an offer for Hector Bellerin

Bellerin made 33 Premier League appearances for the Gunners last season.

Arsenal have made just two summer signings this summer with Alexandre Lacazette and Sead Kolasinac moving to the Emirates.

Arsene Wenger has also been linked with a move for Thomas Lemar, although Monaco’s demands are proving difficult for any deal to be done.

The Gunners are trying to ward off interest from Manchester City in star man Alexis Sanchez.
