The Gunners are refusing to sell Alexis Sanchez to Manchester City, who made a £50m bid last night and a £60m bid today.

Despite the Chilean’s contract being up in the summer, Arsenal are taking a hardline policy with the forward.

It will mean they will get one more season of him strutting his stuff at the Emirates but he will be able to leave for free next summer.

And Arsenal legend Wright has took to Twitter to voice his displeasure on the situation.

He tweeted: “It’s bad business to let Sanchez walk out next year for free. Take the F*****g money! He don’t want to be there! We’re Arsenal so (sic) some pride.”

Despite being rebuffed, Manchester City look likely to revisit a deal, either today, in January or at the end of the season.

Arsenal have been looking at Thomas Lemar as a potential replacement and had a £92m bid accepted by Monaco.

However, the French winger turned them down after he declared he did not want to play in the Europa League.
