Swansea striker Fernando Llorente has signed for Tottenham

The Swansea striker is set to leave Wales to make his move to London.

But the Spaniard has ignored Chelsea’s long-running pursuit of him in favour of a move to Tottenham.

Madrid newspaper Marca claim Llorente has completed his move to north London.

They report that the 32-year-old ‘will finally wear the Tottenham jersey’ this season following Spurs’ failed attempts at landing him a few years ago.

It is also said Llorente was attracted by the prospect of facing Real Madrid with Tottenham in the Champions League this season.

Llorente will be Harry Kane’s back-up at Wembley this term.

Chelsea had wanted him ever since last January and it appeared Antonio Conte would finally secure his signature today.

But Mauricio Pochettino and co swooped in early this morning to hijack the Blues’ move.

Tottenham have also sign Paris St-Germain defender Serge Aurier today.

Fernando Llorente has already been spotted in a Tottenham shirt

Spurs have paid around £23m for Aurier, who has agreed a five-year contract with the club.

The 24-year-old is Tottenham's fourth arrival of the summer, following Juan Foyth, Davinson Sanchez and Paulo Gazzaniga.

A Tottenham statement read: "We are delighted to announce the signing of Serge Aurier from Paris St Germain.

"The right-back has signed a contract with the club until 2022 and will wear the number 24 shirt."
