Liverpool are considering another bid for Thomas Lemar in January after failing to land the Monaco sensation on deadline day.

Reports this week claimed the Reds made an £82m offer for the France international.

And the Daily Mirror say Liverpool could return in January for Lemar.

They add that Jurgen Klopp will face competition from Arsenal for the 21-year-old ace.

The Gunners made a £92m bid for Lemar on deadline day but the winger opted to snub Arsenal and stay at Monaco.

Inter Milan will put a £64m release clause in Ivan Perisic’s new contract to stop Manchester United signing the winger.

The Red Devils were desperate to land the 28-year-old this summer, with Jose Mourinho a huge admirer of the Croatia international.

Inter refused to budge on their £48m price tag and the Serie A giants kept hold of Perisic.

And according to Italian newspaper Tuttosport, Inter are still aware of United’s interest in their star man.

They claim the Italian giants will insert a £64m (€70m) release clause in Perisic’s contract to stop the Red Devils landing the winger.

Tuttosport have called it an ‘anti-United’ clause as it’s purpose is to scare off United in the January transfer window or next summer.

Ross Barkley says he did not undergo a medical with Chelsea.

Tottenham and Chelsea were battling for the England international, with reports suggesting the midfielder snubbed the Blues mid-medical to stay at Everton.

However, Barkley, 23, has rubbished rumours he was close to joining Chelsea on deadline day.

Barkley tweeted: "Contrary to a number of reports in the press, I did not undertake a medical with any club at any point.

"I simply decided that due to my injury, it would be best to make a decision on my future and assess all my options in January when fully fit.

"Thanks for all of the support."
