Brazil stars Philippe Coutinho, Roberto Firmino, Ederson, Fernandinho and Gabriel Jesus are all in the squad.

And they are preparing to face Colombia in a World Cup qualifier at 9.30pm BST.

Liverpool and City, though, want all four players home in England as soon as possible.

The Premier League title rivals go head-to-head straight after the international break on Saturday at 12.30pm.

The early lunchtime kick-off gives the clubs little time to prepare their teams.

However, according to the Manchester Evening News, Liverpool and City will work together to avoid any issues.

They are said to have both clubbed together to hire a private jet to fly back Coutinho and Co.

Chelsea and Brazil winger Willian will also join them as they travel from Colombia to the North West of England.

The Manchester Evening News say the private jet will see them land in the UK early on Wednesday morning.

Liverpool and City want as much time as possible to get ready for Saturday’s crunch game.

And it could see the return of Coutinho to Jurgen Klopp’s team.

The Barcelona target was sidelined in August with a back problem but has already featured for Brazil during the break.

Meanwhile, Ederson, Fernando and Jesus may all start for City at the Etihad in four days’ time.

It is not the first time the clubs have done this as they have looked to avoid charter flights at times last season.
