The Spanish midfielder has been out of action since October 2016 after suffering an Achilles injury during the Gunners’ Champions League win over Ludogrets.

Even more shockingly, he has made just 23 appearances since the beginning of the 2015/16 season.

But Cazorla has promised supporters he is on the road to recovery, posting an encouraging training video earlier this week.

And now Gunners fans are keeping their fingers crossed on his return after being reminded of just how brilliant he was.

In footage going viral on Twitter, the 32-year-old is seen showcasing his almost unrivalled dribbling skills.

No matter how many opponents surround him, he manages to twist and turn away from them.

His close control and clever passing fitted perfectly into Arsene Wenger’s system.

“I didn't want this video to end,” one viewer wrote. “What a joy to watch Cazorla. One of those players who would make the least mistakes.”

Another added: “The best truly two-footed player I think we've ever had.”

While a third simply commented: “We miss him so much.”
