Romelu Lukaku is looking forward to working with Zlatan Ibrahimovic

The £75m Belgian will link up with his new team-mate when he recovers from a long-term knee injury later this year.

Ibrahimovic re-joined United last month after his initial contract at Old Trafford expired.

And while Lukaku will continue as the Red Devils’ undisputed No.1 striker in the Swede's absence it may be a different story when he returns to fitness.

But the 24-year-old former Everton and Chelsea striker is not shirking from the challenge that Ibrahimovic will pose to his starting spot.

Lukaku told the Premier League Show: "I think it's really good for the team.

"I think it's good to have another guy who is hungry to win trophies.

"That's what we want at Manchester United.

"With his personality, his character and also his attributes as a football player he can bring us a lot and we will try to help him.

"You relish competition.

"As long as it cam make you better and makes you win you relish the challenge at the time."
