The Reds shocked Pep Guardiola’s side last season in a 4-1 victory last season.

Both City and Liverpool are unbeaten so far in the Premier League but one of them could taste defeat for the first time tomorrow.

“Was that probably Liverpool’s best performance under Jurgen Klopp, 18 months ago?” Burley said on ESPN FC of last season’s win.

“Absolutely fantastic. (Roberto) Firmino as the lads mentioned was great.

“I think when the big names get fit for Man City and David Silva is available I believe, who’s a fantastic little player, I’m going to go for City.

“They’re only going to get better and better as the season goes on.”

Former Liverpool star Steve Nicol does not agree though and he thinks it will be a score draw at the Etihad.

“Score draw,” he said when asked his prediction.

“It’s so set up for Liverpool to hit them on the counter.

“We know City are vulnerable but Liverpool are vulnerable at the back as well.

“That’s why I’m going for a score draw. Both sides score goals, I’ll go for 2-2 as well.”
