That's according to former Tottenham midfielder turned pundit Jermaine Jenas.
He thinks the Kop's side pretty much picks itself and does not include the £35m summer singing from Arsenal.
Oxlade-Chamberlain was desperate to join Liverpool and rejected the chance to move to Chelsea.
But if it's regular first-team football the England man is after Jenas thinks he's joined the wrong club.
Jenas told 5Live: "He's not in their best 11. He's not.
"Unless he plays in a position that he doesn’t want to play, which would be right back in this team.
“I was just writing it down. [Roberto] Firmino up top, [Adam] Lallana either left or right, [Sadio] Mane on the other side, [Philippe] Coutinho in behind Firmino and your central [midfield] partnership of [Jordan] Henderson and [Gini] Wijnaldum.
"That's their best 11, the best attacking part of their team.
"Does Alex get into that [team] right now? I don't see him moving Mane as a starter, I don't see him moving Lallana as a starter.
"I see him really competing for a position and that's not even involving [Mohamed] Salah into the equation.
"If I'm Jurgen Klopp and I've got a Champions League final to play tomorrow I know my first 11 and he's not in it."
