The Gunners were looking to bounce back to consecutive defeats away at Stoke and Liverpool before the international break.

And they made the perfect start after just six minutes as Danny Welbeck headed them in front.

Alexandre Lacazette then made it 2-0 just over 20 minutes later, bending a shot past Asmir Begovic from the edge of the area.

It went from bad to worse for Bournemouth five minutes after the break, with Danny Welbeck adding his second and Arsenal’s third from a tight angle.

It was a much-needed win for Arsene Wenger, who had come under intense scrutiny from Arsenal fans following two previous defeats.
