Christian Eriksen and Eric Dier were chosen by Nike to model the new alternate shirt, which will mainly be used as the club’s away strip in European games this season.

The dark purple ‘dazzle camo knit’ is complimented with a rich yellow - which also features on the club’s crest, the sponsor’s logo and the name and number.

The word ‘Spurs’ is written in capital letters at the bottom on the back of the shirt.

The north London side could debut the strip during their first away match in the Champions League - against Apoel Nicosia in two weeks’ time.

Tottenham face Dortmund in their opening game of the competition at Wembley tomorrow night.

And Mauricio Pochettino knows how essential it is to get three points from the match after last season's poor European showing.

He said: "It's so important to try to win the game. Dortmund are a great team but in our mind our mentality is to win and be aggressive from the start."
